About Jersey

Walk 10 - Noirmont - St Brelade
Attractions
St. Brelade

This important coastal headland has a network of mainly grass pathways, which range from reasonable to difficult, with a couple of impossibles above the cliffs. The most accessible routes begin from the car park near a copse on the left before the main headland, take the gate on the left which is more negotiable for wheelchairs.

There is plenty of reward and enjoyment for the effort of exploring the paths that meander through areas of gorse, bracken and copses of mixed woodland.

During spring and early summer you might see Dartford warblers, whitethroats, stonechats, willow warblers, linnets and meadow pipits.

Some rare plants to find are spotted rock rose, autumn squill and heath speedwell, while the more common species include common dog violet, formentil, wood sage and prostrate broom.

From the main headland, which has a large car park (a bit bumpy), herring gulls, great and lesser black-backed gulls, shags and oystercatchers are always present.
