General Information
If you are visiting Jersey from the British Isles or the Republic of Ireland, you may bring your pet with you - provided of course that pets are allowed at your chosen holiday accommodation. New restrictions have been introduced for animals arriving from mainland Europe – please ask for further details. In addition, please check with your transport carrier to ensure pets will be carried by them, as due to cabin pressure etc, restrictions on animals may apply.
Between 10.30 hrs and 18.00 hrs during the period 01 May-30 September inclusive, it is AGAINST THE LAW to:
· Bring any dog on the beach unless on a lead.
· Permit any dog of which you are in charge to rush at, worry or otherwise interfere with the safety, comfort or convenience of any person on the beach.
· Fail to remove from the beach any faeces deposited by a dog of which you are in charge (with the exception of guide dogs).
· Dogs are permitted within the town area but must be kept on a lead at all times.
· Guide/Hearing dogs are not permitted at Jersey Zoo
The fine for contravening this law currently stands at £50.00
